Barley hay baled on the 18th of October 2025. Bales weight average is 680kg. Bales are 6 string and 8 string. A contractor helped with baling. Excellent green colour. Soft texture. Fresh and sweet hay aroma. Moisture readings average is 11.4%. No high moistures. Ideal curing conditions.

2025 Vetch hay baled on the 24/10/25. Average bale weight 650kg. 6 string 8x4x3 bales. Variety is timok. Some medic in hay. Cut with a mower conditioner. No risk during curing period. Half of the vetch is in the shed on boort Kerang road and half on dear rd. Same lot. Average moisture 12.7%. Lowest was 10.6%. Only two higher readings which were 17.1% and 17.4%. Nice green colour, not too much sunbleaching and no staining. Soft in texture and excellent leaf retention. May become detached only when disturbed. Sweet and fresh hay aroma. Great storage and good access to the road for trucks.

2025 Barley hay baled on the 21st October. Average bale weight is 635kg. All in the shed. 6 string 8x4x3 bales. Average moisture was 11.6%. Lowest was 10% and highest 13.3%. No high readings. Moisture readings mostly around 11%. Soft in texture. Great leaf and head retention. Good green colour. Not much sunbleaching. Sweet and fresh hay aroma. Great shed and good access to the road for trucks.

Oaten hay baled on the 1st of November 2025. Ideal curing conditions. No rain. Baled with an 8 string Krone baler. Bale weights average 715kg. Good green colour with not much sun bleaching. Soft texture and good leaf retention. Moisture readings averaged 12.3% with mist reading between 11-12%. Very consistent readings. One bale read 17.3%. Fresh and sweet hay aroma. Nice evenly shaped bales. Good shed and easily accessible to road.

Oat Barley mix hay baled on the 7th of October 2025. Majority oats. Nice evenly shaped bales. Baled with an 8 string Krone baler. Bale weights about 715kg. Good shed and accessible easily to the road. Good green colour and soft texture. No high moisture bales. Highest moisture reading was 13.4%. Moisture tested an average of 11.9%. Very consistent bale moistures. Fresh sweet hay aroma.

Barley Hay baled on the 15th of November 2025. 6 string 8x4x3 bales. Average bale weight 620kg. Some bales are still stacked outside, waiting to be put into shed. Those bales outside do have some staining on stems on exterior of bale. Cooler curing conditions. Cut with a mower conditioner. Bales already in shed have the odd staining on stems. Average moisture of 11.1%. No high readings. Lowest was 8.8% and highest was 14.1%. Very soft in texture and excellent leaf and head retention. There is some wheat in this barley hay. Nice green colour, not too much sunbleaching on the inside of bales. Sweet and fresh hay aroma. Good shed and good access to the road for trucks.

A good stack of vetch hay prepared in favourable curing conditions & shedded before any rain on gravel in a well drained position, average moisture content of 13.3%

Oaten hay baled on the 1st of November 2025. Nice and evenly shaped 8x4x3 large square bales. Bale weight average 680. 6 strings. During the curing period, the hay had 17mm before baling however there is no water stain, black stains, mould or damage. Hay dried out pretty quick and the ground was very dry too. Good green colour and soft texture. Good leaf retention. Average moisture 11.9%. No high moisture readings. Good shed with good access to road

Vetch crop with even germination during a dry start. Good establishment and expected to grow well from now to cutting with warmer weather and recent rain. Planted on 20 inch spacings. Rolled after planting to assist with baling. Small amount of residual stubble. An excellent stack of well prepared vetch hay a very good sweet smelling aroma. Currently being stacked in an excellent shed with very good drainage without weather damage. Moisture was between 10 & 18 with an average of 12.4

Oaten crop with even germination at tillering stage. Rolled after planting. Had dry start with good falls rain in last 6 weeks. Has had broadleaf weed spray. Expected to yield 6 ton ha. 700 bales of oaten hay prepared in cool conditions slowing the process, good well baled hay averaging 12.9% moisture content & stored on plastic in an excellent shed

Vetch, Field pea, wheat clover & rye mix well prepared in challenging conditions. About 1 inch of rain over a couple falls has only caused minor deterioration, even moisture averaging 11.9%, shedded.
