Mentara Park Farms is a family owned and operated company. Run by David and Gwenda, sons Matt and Tim Eckert and a highly reliable and skilful team of employees.
Farming an extensive range of highly variable country near Meningie in South Australia has resulted in us adapting an extremely diverse business model unique to the Eckert family. Built up from the sheep’s back over previous generations, we now operate a professional cropping enterprise consisting of cereal hay and straw, lucerne hay, wheat, barley, canola, beans, and lupins. The ability to store grains in vertical storage and sheds for hay storage, means we are able to deal directly with the majority of our customers. We also run merino ewes and Angus grass fed cattle on newly renovated Lucerne and veldt pastures. We pride ourselves in keeping all tasks in house simply to control quality and timing of outcomes. With a wide range of modern machines from seeding to hay and harvest, earthmoving and transport. From single, b-double to road train combinations we can manage just about any task. We have an extensive workshop to mange all maintenance and fabrication projects to keep all operations running as smoothly as possible.
