At any time, you can request us to:

  • delete or destroy your personal information;
  • de-identify your personal information;
  • access or correct your personal information;
  • provide you with a copy of your personal information.

Please understand that we may not be able to entertain your request if it is unlawful to do so or is otherwise impractical or unreasonable to do so in our discretion.

Delete or destroy your personal information

Should you choose to discontinue your use of LocalAg and remove your data, we will delete your account and information upon request, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.  Until you request for it to be deleted or destroyed, your personal information is kept by us for as long as necessary to provide our services to you and for legitimate and essential business purposes, such as complying with our legal obligations or settling disputes. This means that your personal information can be held for some time.

Thank you for using the LocalAg app. The following guide explains the steps you should take if you decide you no longer need the app or website and wish to delete your details from our system.

At LocalAg, we understand the importance of your personal data and privacy. This page provides you with the necessary steps to request the deletion of your account and the associated data.

Step-by-Step Deletion Process:

  1. Log in to LocalAg: Begin by logging into your account on LocalAg. Ensure you have access to the account you wish to delete and are the primary authorised representative of the business. Your login details will be the ones you used to sign up with and will work on both the app and website.
  2. Navigate to My User Settings: Once logged in, click on the My Profile button at the top right of the screen and locate the ‘My User Settings’. Here you will find “Want to delete your account?” in section 03; My Login Details.
  3. Initiate Deletion Request: When you select the option to “Delete my Account” it will initiate the deletion process. Because this process cannot be reversed, we ask you to confirm your selection and we will verify that you are the account holder before commencing the process.
  4. Complete the Questionnaire: You will be prompted to answer a series of questions to assist us to confirm your deletion request. This may include confirming whether you want to delete just the user account, the associated business account, or both. Please answer all questions accurately to ensure the correct processing of your request.
  5. Review and Confirm: Before finalising your request, review all provided information. By confirming the deletion, you understand that this action is irreversible, and all your data, including account details and business information, will be permanently removed.

Legal Considerations: Your request will be processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Your data will be deleted from our active databases immediately upon confirmation of your request and from our backups within 30 days.

Consequences of Deletion: Please be aware that deleting your account will result in the loss of access to all LocalAg services, features, and any data you have stored or created within the app.

Alternatives to Deletion: If you’re considering deletion due to a specific issue, or if you would like to simply take a break, you may opt for account deactivation instead. This allows you to temporarily disable your account without permanently erasing your data.
