A good stack of oaten with some ryegrass hay only light rain(5 millimetres) during curing, well prepared and stacked in well drained spot under hay caps. Average moisture content of 12.3%.

Wheaten hay in 8 string 8x4x3 bales stacked in a safe shed with average moisture of11.9%. Cut at flowering with mower conditioner cured. Has two falls if rain over a 6 week period with remainder of curing cool conditions. Large windrows have protected internal stems and leaf. Has retained some green leaf. Normal to soft texture.

Wheaten hay stacked under tarps slightly bleached but still retaining green colour, cured for 3 weeks in cool conditions. Average moisture 25.4%
