2025 Vetch hay baled on the 24/10/25. Average bale weight 650kg. 6 string 8x4x3 bales. Variety is timok. Some medic in hay. Cut with a mower conditioner. No risk during curing period. Half of the vetch is in the shed on boort Kerang road and half on dear rd. Same lot. Average moisture 12.7%. Lowest was 10.6%. Only two higher readings which were 17.1% and 17.4%. Nice green colour, not too much sunbleaching and no staining. Soft in texture and excellent leaf retention. May become detached only when disturbed. Sweet and fresh hay aroma. Great storage and good access to the road for trucks.
